“Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers. Examine yourselves [not me]! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves [by an ongoing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test and are rejected as counterfeit?”
2 Corinthians 13:5 AMP
Doctors always advise to go for a yearly medical check-up. Why? Because if there is something going wrong in your body you want to know soon not later.
The same is true of your spiritual life. It is important to develop the habit of analyzing your spiritual life in order to stay spiritually healthy.
Here are some areas in which you can examine yourself; worship, bible study, prayer life, thoughts, fellowship, and relationship.
Just like you need a physical check-up regularly, you need a spiritual check-up regularly.
Shalom!
