“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”Mark 11:25
One major hindrance to prayer that we need to identify and deal with is the spirit of unforgiveness.
Teaching about this in Mark 11:25, Jesus says: “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
In Matthew 5:23-24, He further stated: “Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.”
The above verses demonstrate that God will not accept the gift, offering or thanksgiving of anyone who harbours bitterness and unforgiveness, to talk less of answering any prayer made by such a person.
