“The woman whom You gave to be with me—she gave me [fruit] from the tree, and I ate it.” Genesis 3:12 AMP
Disobedience leads to nakedness, shame and curse. On the other hand, obedience to God will set you on high and cause you to experience the blessings of God.
“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:” Deut. 28:1-2 NKJV
No one likes to take the blame for wrongdoing. It is usually more comfortable to push the blame off on someone else. Adam blamed Eve and probably God who had given him a wife. He said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” Gen 3:12. Eve also blamed the serpent. She said the serpent deceived me. The fact that you blamed someone for your misbehaviour or sin does not reduce the gravity or remove the punishment.
The best thing to do is to repent and make your ways right with God while you are on this side of eternity.
Are you prepared to meet your God?
Father, please show me mercy and forgive me, of all my wrongdoings IJN.
Shalom!
