“Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.” Acts 12:5 NKJV
The result of this intercessory act of the Church was heart-warming. The Lord heard the prayers and sent an angel to rescue Peter from the prison and also from being executed by Herod the king.
We deprive ourselves the privilege of experiencing great testimonies when we don't go to God in prayers.
We can see the benefit of interceding for one another. It is unfortunate that instead of interceding for a brother or sister undergoing a siege or trial of faith, some people prefer to gossip about them.
Many Christians prefer to bury a wounded soldier instead of helping him to bounce back on his feet to continue the fight of faith.
If we can give ourselves to intercession and help one another, we will triumph.
Father, I receive grace to be an intercessor IJN.
Shalom!
