“What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,” Psalms 8:4-6 AMP
Anytime a manufacturer creates something, he decides its purpose and its vision. He also determines and makes known to the user how he wants it to perform.
When God created you and I, He gave us a mandate in Genesis 1:26. This mandate is still binding today because God has not changed His mind. I call this dominion package.
Psalm 8 is reminding us of God’s mandate. Verse 5 says we are crowned with glory and honour. All over the world, only kings and princes wear crowns. If you are not one and only pretend to be wearing a crown , you are only wearing a cap.
You are not just crowned, you are crowned with Glory (Heb2:7 ‘Kavod’ - esteem, majesty, the weight of God). In other words, God threw His weight behind you at creation for majesty, honor and abundance.
When you look into the mirror this week, see majesty, see wealth, abundance, and a champion. Don’t see a weakling or a wretched individual. See the undisputed, undefeated champion that God has made you to be.
Shalom!
