“Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him. With them alone he shares the secrets of his promises.” Psalm 25:14 (TLB)
Friendship with God is like any other friendship—you have to make time for it. If you don’t make time for your friends, they’re not going to be your close friends. Similarly, if God is going to be your best friend, you’ve got to give your best time to Him.
To establish a friendship with God, you need to have a daily quiet time. You have to be still so that you can hear Him speak to you.
What kind of friendships would you have if you never invested your time in them?
Friendships need attention. You’ve got to read God’s Word daily and ask Him, “God, is there anything you want to say to me?” You don’t need big theological words. Just talk to Him authentically. And then listen!
Slow down today, focus on God, and listen as He speaks to you about His grace.and love.
Sing this prayerfully: Draw me close to you, never let me go, I lay it all down again .........etc
Shalom!
