“He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly.” Prov. 13:24 NKJV
If you want God to love you, then He will discipline you. The more He loves you, the more He will discipline you. If God discipline you whenever you do something wrong, you should rejoice because it means that you are special to Him and He wouldn’t leave you to be destroyed.
However, if you are doing something wrong and God is silent about your wrong-doing, you should run to Him and cry for mercy because it's most likely that He has left you for destruction.
This happens when a person refuses to take correct after several warnings. Examples: “Ephraim is joined to idols, Let him alone.”
Hosea 4:17 NKJV.
“And because they thought it was worthless to embrace the true knowledge of God, God gave them over to a worthless mind-set, to break all rules of proper conduct.” Romans 1:28 TPT
If you sin and God is silent, you are already losing your place as His beloved child; cry to Him for mercy.
Shalom!
