“Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:49 NKJV
Praying people are the only people in whom the Holy Spirit dwells, for the Holy Spirit and prayers go hand in hand.
“On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.” Acts of the Apostles 2:1-3 NLT
The Holy Spirit never descends upon prayerless people. He never fills them, He never empowers them. There is nothing in common between the Spirit of God and people who do not pray. The Holy Spirit dwells only in an atmosphere of prayer.
