“All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” Matthew 5:37 NIV
Many believers are people-pleasers who say yes to every request, every distraction, and every demand on their time, only to end up exhausted, resentful, and spiritually shallow.
You have to build the courage to say a firm and graceful NO to the things that are not your assignment. When you try to be everything to everyone, you end up being nothing to the One who actually called you.
Spiritual maturity is found in the believer who understands that saying no to a distraction is actually saying yes to their destiny.
Strengthening your walk involves a daily check on your commitments, and refusing to let the guilt of others dictate your schedule.
Father, please give me the wisdom to know when to say yes and the courage to say no when I need to IJN.
Shalom!
