“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.”Proverbs 15:1 KJV
In the Kingdom, true strength is found in “soft answers”. It takes very little character to shout back, but it takes immense spiritual power to respond to “wrath” with gentleness.
A “soft answer” isn’t a sign of weakness, it is a strategy that disarms the enemy. Our role as believers is to value the relationship more than the “win.” When you refuse to “stir up anger,” you are acting as a peacemaker and a child of God.
Beloved, your reactions are the test of your character. As you choose “soft answer,” you are making room for the Holy Spirit. Let your tongue be a medicine for the hurting.
Father, please grant me the grace to respond softly even when I am provoked IJN.
Shalom!
