“O thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.” Ezekiel 33:7 KJV
We are called to look out for one another in the body of Christ. Maturity is the willingness to offer a gentle warning or a firm correction when you see a brother or sister drifting.
It is easier to stay silent and “mind your own business,” but love does not allow someone to walk off a cliff. Being a watchman isn’t about being a judge; it’s about being a guardian of the souls around you.
Beloved, your silence is not always golden; sometimes it is a failure of love. Do not allow the fear of being disliked stop you from being a source of protection to your family and friends.
Father, please make me a faithful watchman to those You have placed in my life IJN.
Shalom!
