““You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” Matthew 5:13 NKJV
The statement “You are the salt of the earth” means that without you, the earth cannot be sweet. Hence, the sweetness of this world depends on you.
One of the ways to be the salt of the world is through the words of your mouth. Colossians 4:6 says: “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”
Another way to be the salt of the earth is to show kindness to others. Your little act of kindness is a great factor in making the world a sweet place for some other person(s) to live in.
Remain the salt of the earth. Don’t be weary in doing good. Your reward will surely come if you don’t give up Galatians 6:9.
Father, please help me to remain salt even in this wicked world IJN.
