“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22–23 KJV
Jeremiah’s words remind us that God’s mercy is not a one-time gift, it is new every single day. His compassion does not expire by evening, and His faithfulness does not weaken with time.
His mercy may look simple like: rest, provision, or protection you didn’t even notice at first. The breath you take right now is evidence of His kindness toward you.
Gratitude has a way of quieting the soul and easing the heart into rest. As you prepare for a new day, start by thanking Him, because His compassion will carry you through.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and let your heart rest in His unfailing faithfulness.
