The God Of Jacob

“Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” Genesis 32:26 NIV

Our God being the God of Jacob means that He is the God of love. 1 John 4:8 tells us that God is love. “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love”

When you read Genesis 29, you will find Jacob demonstrating great love for the one he loved.

The God of Jacob is also the God that answers prayers. In Genesis 32:1-32, when Jacob knew that Esau was coming to kill him, he prayed all night, refusing to leave God and by the following morning Genesis 33:1-4, instead of Esau killing him, he embraced him and wept because God had intervened.

Be persistent in your prayers. The God of Jacob answers the prayers of those who pray persistently, those who don’t stop praying until He gives them what they want.

Don’t think you are disturbing God with your prayers at all, He said in Isaiah 62:7 “and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth”

Father, thank you for I know You love me and will answer all my prayers IJN.

Shalom!
