“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4 NKJV
Jesus achieved the ultimate victory over the devil and over the world, so that the children of God can live as overcomers.
Jesus died on the cross at Calvary for you and was raised from the dead so that the devil and his agents will not have dominion over you Col 2:13-15.
You may then wonder why some Christians still suffer under the oppression of the devil. Well, if a child of God does not take his place in prayer, Bible study, and holy living, he cannot enjoy the victory that Christ Jesus won for him.
The Bible already states that we can only judge all disobedience when our obedience is complete 2 Cor 10:6.
It is God’s responsibility to enforce your victory over the world; it is your responsibility to remain submitted to Him.
Father, thank you for making me an overcomer, IJN.
