The Gift Beyond Measure

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8 NIV

Ephesians 2:1-8, paints a picture of our state before encountering God’s grace. We were “dead in our trespasses”, following a path that led us away from Him. There was nothing we could do to bridge the gap.

But then the unimaginable happens “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ” Eph.2:4-5

This isn’t a reward for good deeds, but a gift beyond measure, bestowed freely by His grace. Through Christ’s sacrifice, we are not only redeemed but also “raised up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”.

We are no longer slaves to sin but rather empowered to live lives worthy of the gift we have received.

Take a moment to ponder on the depth of God’s love for you.

Father, thank you for the gift of grace that saved me and brought me close to You. Help me share this incredible gift with others IJN.

Shalom!
