“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon the house; and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock.” Matt 7:25 KJV
Foundation supports the structure above it, and the depth of our foundation in Christ reflects our spiritual stability.
Christian growth is twofold: inward (the root), going deeper into the fountain of life, and outward (the branches), bearing the fruit of righteousness Matt 7:25.
The inward part is unseen but vital, as it draws strength from God’s grace and mercy. The outward part manifests as good works to the glory of the Father.
Depth is achieved through daily fellowship with God, meditating on His Word, and prayer. Like the song, “Deeper, deeper, in the love of Jesus, daily let me grow,” our depth determines our fruitfulness in His kingdom.
How deep is your walk with God?
Father, please let my roots grow deeper into Your grace and love each day in Jesus name.
Shalom!
