“I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him,” Psa 89:20 NKJV
In every generation, God looks out for men who will fulfil His purpose and agenda on earth. From Genesis to Revelation, we see individuals who were singled out by God for His use.
What exactly does God look for in a man? God is not looking for perfect people, He wants a heart that is completely surrendered to Him, a willingness to obey His commands without reservation, and a passion for His kingdom.
While the list of qualifications may seem endless, they all state the position of the heart. In simple terms, such a man’s heart must reflect God’s heart!
King David, the man after God’s heart, recounted what God said about him when He found him fit for His purpose.
“I have found My servant David, With My holy oil, I have anointed him…The enemy shall not outwit him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him. But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him, And in My name, his horn shall be exalted.” Psalm 89:20, 22-24
Father, please make me a man after your heart in Jesus name.
Shalom!
