God’s Project

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3 KJV

Jacob’s favourite son, Joseph, was sold into slavery by his envious brothers. He was later imprisoned in Egypt unjustly. This was despite the wonderful dreams he had.

During the waiting period, Joseph might have wondered if his life would still amount to anything. By Divine providence, the prisoner eventually rose to power.

Moses also found himself where he least expected. For a moment, his concern for his people appeared to have gone awry, causing him to flee Egypt. He ended up in Midian, tending the sheep of his father-in-law. The rod became a familiar tool for his everyday tasks, which later became a staff of power that played a crucial role in the deliverance of the Israelites from bondage in Egypt.

These instances demonstrate the extent of God’s power and ability to change lives and circumstances. No matter the setback, you are not a write-off; you are God’s ongoing project.

Father, please reveal your purpose to me and make your glory evident in my life IJN.

Shalom!
