“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.” Hebrews 6:18
We can trust in the immutability of God’s word. Just as the farmer relies on the unchanging laws of nature, we can depend on the steadfastness of God’s promises.
As the prophet Isaiah declares in Isaiah 55:11 “My word shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
The author of Hebrews also reinforces this truth, stating that “it is impossible for God to lie” Hebrews 6:18.
God’s word is not subject to change or failure. When He makes a promise, it will come to pass without exception. This is the foundation of our faith and the source of our hope.
When we are faced with challenges, we can cling to the immutability of God’s word. His promises are not dependent on our circumstances or our feelings. They are eternal, unchanging, and unbreakable.
Father, please help me to trust Your promises with unwavering faith, knowing that they are sure and steadfast IJN.
Shalom!
