“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” Psalm 23:6 KJV
Every new day is an unopened gift, and what you expect often determines what you notice. The world may expect struggle and stress, but God’s children wake up expecting His goodness. It doesn’t mean ignoring challenges—it means being anchored in hope.
When David said, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me,” he was declaring that no matter what comes his way, God’s love would always be in pursuit of him.
The same is true for you. Goodness and mercy are not passive; they chase after you because your Heavenly Father is always working for your benefit.
As you begin your day, shift your mindset. Expect divine encounters, answered prayers, peace even in chaos, joy etc. You’re not walking alone—His goodness is behind you, beside you, and before you.
Father, I begin this day with faith in Your goodness. Let my eyes see the blessings You’ve already placed before me IJN.
Shalom!
