“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night…” 2 Peter 3:10 KJV
It’s over 2000 years since our Lord Jesus left this earth. He was, however, careful to foretell the signs before the end would come.
Despite the fulfilment of these signs, the consciousness of Christ’s coming is waning daily. Love is waxing cold; fervency is dwindling, and the expectation of His return is fast disappearing.
We are getting more and more preoccupied with the affairs of this world, as it was it in Bible times. Nonetheless, we have this clear assurance, “this same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven will so come in like manner as you saw him go into heaven,” Acts 1:11.
Even though we do not know the day or the hour of His return, we know that God cannot lie. We are sure Jesus is coming back, and all eyes shall see Him.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so, we shall ever be with the Lord 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Are you ready? Do you know it could be today?
Lord Jesus, please keep me prepared and ready for your return in Jesus name.
Shalom!
