No man that warreth entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” 2Timothy 2:4 NKJV
The Scripture says we are soldiers. Though we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers Ephesians 6:12.
As Christian soldiers, we cannot afford to be careless about our Christian race and life, for our adversary, the devil, walks about looking for who to devour 1 Peter 5:8.
We have to keep fighting: fight sins, fight worldliness, fight inordinate desires, fight all forms of the works of the flesh and compromises.
The Master has a lot of promises for His disciples who are resolute in carrying their crosses, denying themselves, and following the Lord with every sense of determination.
There are mansions to be inherited and crowns to be worn—only for the Overcomers. Strive, therefore, to be one of the Overcomers.
