“But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us— see that you abound in this grace also.” 2 Cor. 8:7 NKJV
To abound is to exist in a constant, continuous state of abundance in every area, at all times and in every season. It means limitless; something above the usual or ordinary.
There are various areas in which you can abound as a Christian. The Macedonia Christians abounded in liberality in spite of their poverty. That is why you do not have to wait until you are extremely rich before you can give.
Giving is a thing of the heart and it is the nature of God to give. God gives us richly all things to enjoy 1Tim. 6:17. Every dear child of God needs to imitate that attribute.
Father, I receive the grace to abound in all things in Jesus name.
