The Lord My Shield.

“But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.”Psalms 3:3 NLT

David wrote this psalm during one of the most painful seasons of his life, while fleeing from his own son, Absalom. Betrayal cut deeply, and the threat against him was not distant but personal.

From a human perspective, his situation looked hopeless. Yet instead of surrendering to fear or despair, David lifted his eyes to God. He declared that the Lord was his shield, his glory, and the lifter of his head.

God’s protection does not promise the absence of trouble, but it guarantees His presence. He stands as your shield, guarding your mind from overwhelming fear and your heart from sinking into despair.

Father, thank You for being my shield and my glory, the lifter of my head IJN.

Shalom!
