Be Kingdom Compliant

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” Romans 12:2 NKJV

It may appear difficult to thrive in a world where righteousness is relegated and unrighteousness is celebrated. We believers must strive to keep our minds fixed on our eternal reward.

“To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.” 1 Peter 1:4

“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Philippians 3:20.

The temptations to compromise, cut corners, or let down our guard are aimed at making us lose focus and forget our identity. We are joint heirs with Christ Jesus and this consciousness should always keep us kingdom-compliant.

As He said, we will “inherit the kingdom prepared” for us from the beginning of the age Matthew 25:34. His promise ought to be our source of hope, inspiration, and comfort.

The crowd’s alluring options and distractions should not be allowed to divert our attention. The best check is for us to always ask: WWJD – what would Jesus do

Father, please grant me the grace to resist the temptation of conforming to the standards of the world IJN.

Shalom!
